" I have known Jeanette Martinez for many years. Our relationship developed because of her passion for restorative justice and peacemaking circles. After her first circle training with me Jeanette expressed an interest in apprenticing with me as a circle trainer. She joined me in Los Angeles and there began an extraordinary friendship. I discovered that Jeanette was deathly afraid of flying, but because she was so committed to learning about circles in a deeper way she faced her fears and got on the plane. That commitment has never wavered. Jeanette is fearless in her quest to serve people through restorative practices, especially circles.
In the first months after her initial training Jeanette took on very challenging circles in a variety of contexts. She dove into the process bringing her intuition, her technical skills and her boundless energy and compassion. She frequently consulted with me on those early circles and I came to know the depth of her courage and her willingness to stretch herself. We talked often and became close. Over the following few years Jeanette co-trained with me again and again.
Jeanette is an outstanding facilitator, trainer and promoter of the peacemaking circle process. She has an enormous heart. She brings a full presence and an authenticity to her work that allows her to connect to others and create safe space for others to do their own work.
It has been so gratifying to share this work with Jeanette and I look forward to accompanying her as the journey continues."
